Network Rail has revealed plans to invest £4m to improve the Keighley station in West Yorkshire, which is used by 1.7 million passengers every year.
The work by Network Rail will involve renovating the station building, footbridge and entrance to make it brighter and more appealing.
To make the station look more pleasant, the canopies above the access ramps will be painted and lights will be installed.
Plan also includes resurfacing of both platforms to improve stepping distances between the trains and platforms.
The station is managed by Northern with whom Network Rail is working on the project.
The company stated that the work will be done in stages to avoid disruption to train services and minimise disturbance to the passengers.
