HGS Railway, an affiliate of OmniTRAX, has acquired the Alabama & Tennessee River Railway (ATN) and the Fulton County Railway (FCR) from CSX.
OmniTRAX has been managing operations on both lines for several years and is expected to continue after the acquisition. The terms of the deal were not revealed.

“The transaction marks another milestone in our strong relationship with CSX. We thank the CSX team for their professionalism during the process and look forward to working with them to support current and future customers on the two railroads.”
Based in Gadsden, Alabama, ATN operates 120 miles track. The rail line is used to transport cement, pulp board, canned goods, steel, food products and other commodities.
Based in Atlanta, FCR manages 25 miles of track in the Fulton County Industrial Park. The rail line offers service to warehouses and light manufacturing companies transporting food products, paper, metals, building materials and packaging products.
