Deutsche Bahn subsidiary DB Station&Service has extended its contract with euromicron Deutschland for the optimisation of current video surveillance solutions at long-distance train stations.
Following an open invitation tender process, euromicron’s system house subsidiary has been awarded a three-year extension with the option of an additional year.
Under the three-year master agreement, the company will be responsible for delivery, installation, implementation and system integration of video surveillance systems at the long-distance train stations.
euromicron executive board spokeswoman Bettina Meyer said: “When existing master agreements expire at the end of their scheduled term, even tried-and-proven partners of Deutsche Bahn have to undergo and so compete with other bidders in a new invitation to tender.
“It’s anything but a given to win a contract again in the highly sensitive field of security technology. So we’re all the more delighted that we’ll be able to assist Deutsche Bahn in implementing its security concept in the future, as well.”
The company has already installed full-HD IP video surveillance solutions for Deutsche Bahn in various stations such as Bremen, Hamburg, Hanover, Cologne and Nuremberg, as part of the ongoing contract.
