E-J Electric Installation has won a contract from a tri-venture of firms selected by the US Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) for the delivery of systems, electrical and transmission line work.
The contract has been awarded as part of the $1.9bn expansion of Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) operated by the MTA.

A new 9.8-mile third track will be developed and capacities of the existing tracks of LIRR will be increased, under the agreement.
The expansion is intended to reduce delays and increase the safety and reliability of the rail network.
Polish long-distance train services provider PKP Intercity has awarded a zl31.7m ($8.66m) contract to Alstom to equip its Express InterCity Premium (EIP) trains with Wi-Fi devices.
Under the contract, EIP will be responsible for the installation of Wi-Fi devices and maintenance of the EIP trains for a period of five years.
