Facility services provider ISS has secured a five-year extension of its contract with Iarnród Éireann (Irish Rail).
ISS has been providing cleaning services for rolling stock, offices, depots and stations around Ireland since 1997.
ISS Ireland key account manager David Hogan said: “We have seen our Irish Rail team grow to almost 300 during the lifetime of the contract and our frontline colleagues have given Irish Rail the confidence to renew our partnership for a further five years.
“With a great team around us, we have ensured that we remain strongly aligned with Irish Rails key values; always safe, customers at the heart of our business, and valuing our people. We look forward to the opportunities arising to grow together over the coming years.”
Currently, ISS is engaged in providing cleaning services across all major stations and rail depots in Ireland, covering 65 locations and around 10,500 individual units every month.
Heuston Station Railway Undertaking contracts manager Steve Jones said: “ISS has consistently delivered excellent service into Iarnród Éireann Irish Rail and we are delighted that this partnership is to continue following our most recent competitive tender process.
