Stockholm Transport (SL) has placed a CHF232M ($233m) order to Stadler for 22 customised electrical multiple units (EMU), which also includes an option for an additional 45 vehicles.
The EMUs are designed to run at a speed of 120km/h with a capacity to carry up to 300 passengers, and will be operated on the 65km Roslagsbanan route in Stockholm, Sweden.
The trains are scheduled for delivery in 2020 and will become operational in 2021.
Alstom has won a €17m ($18.53m) contract from Subterráneos de Buenos Aires (SBASE) through an international public tender process.
The contract includes renewal of power supply for Line B of the metro network in Argentina.
Alstom will be responsible for the design, assembly and commissioning of medium-voltage ring cables, third rail power and tunnel disconnections, and substation and other power supply system modifications under the new agreement.

By GlobalDataUS-based public transport agency Sound Transit has entered an agreement to purchase wind energy from Puget Sound Energy (PSE) as part of PSE's Green Direct initiative.
The wind energy will be used by Sound Transit to run link light rail trains on 100% clean energy from 2019.
The ten-year commitment will also aid the agency’s goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the usage of renewable energy by 2030.
