US-based Mobileware has unveiled its new onTime Commute app, which helps users understand schedules for the country’s busiest commuter lines.

The onTime apps for iPhone and iPad are used for transit systems such as the Metro-North Railroad, Chicago Metra, Long Island Rail Road and the New Jersey Transit.

The new all-in-one free app is based on a collection of intuitive apps for each city and provides schedules and real-time updates for 14 busy commuter rails systems.

The rail systems include Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART), Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA), Boston Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) and Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority.

"Mobileware's onTime Commute app helps commuters be on time for their trains and also notifies them of any delays."

US-based Mobileware has unveiled its new onTime Commute app, which helps users understand schedules for the country’s busiest commuter lines.

Users are required to enter details of their home and work stations that are part of the daily commute when they first launch onTime Commute.

Based on these details, the app will automatically show the arrival time of the next train for that route, in addition to other details such as total duration and number of intermediate stops.

Other features offered by the app are custom alarms, notifications for and outages, local weather and map information.

With its onTime commuter scheduling app, Mobileware provides schedules and real-time updates to its users.
