Siemens has secured Network Rail accreditation with the Achilles Link-Up scheme for its communications product portfolio.
This approval ensures that its rail electrification management system demonstrates full compliance with all aspects of health, safety and environmental requirements for safety critical suppliers under the project.
With this approval, all of Siemens communications products conform to Network Rail standards in mission-critical applications.
Siemens RuggedCom sales head Ian Poulett said: "Considerable efforts were taken by the team at the company to revise and align the management system to suit the current and future needs of the rail electrification business.
"Obtaining the Link-Up accreditation is a significant milestone for all involved and ensures Siemens Industry’s extensive range of totally compliant products will continue to play a central role in supporting the needs of Network Rail now and in the future."
Using RuggedCom products, Siemens will offer a full spectrum of solutions for operation in harsh and climatically challenging environments found in transport and utility operations.
