Las Vegas Xpress (LVXI) operator X Train has acquired the Affiliated Passenger Car Fleet from United Rail for an undisclosed sum.
Affiliated Passenger Car Fleet is a group of privately owned vintage passenger rail cars which operated under Amtrak trains until the discontinuation of their service earlier this year.
X Train is expected to operate from Southern California to Las Vegas, US.
Las Vegas Xpress president Dianne David said: “We have assembled over 20 vintage passenger railroad cars in our fleet.
“We moved the car fleet to Las Vegas Xpress from United Rail now that we have a target date to run in mid-year 2019.
“This now gives us a fabulous retro fleet of cars from the classic era of railroading to include in our LA to Vegas consist.”
