This is the second award from the Turkish Railways (TCDD) to CAF Signalling, of great importance due to its location and connections with high speed services linking Ankara and Istanbul. This contract follows the recent launch of Pehlivanköy, Hudut line, where CAF Signalling recently implemented the signalling system.
The project includes implementation of electronic interlocking QUASAR S4e family and AURIGA L1 (CAF Signalling’s ERTMS Level 1 solution) renovation of all field equipment, as well as telecommunications and energy supply in this section. NAOS system of the company will also be integrated as centralised traffic control.
Thus the signalling in the line will be equipped with all necessary field subsystems, electronic interlocking, LEU’s (ERTMS Level 1) and traffic control system. CAF Signalling will also perform the signalling integration on the line providing with engineering, testing and commissioning.
The local partner Emre-Ray will mainly be responsible for installation, supported in turn by CAF Sinyalizasyon, CAF Signalling Turkish subsidiary.
