With the powerful Intel® Core™ i7-3517UE processor, a total of 5Gb Ethernet ports and two hot-pluggable HDD / SSD shuttles, the box PC BL70S from MEN is ideally suited as a content server or video recorder.
Integrated Ethernet switch and flexible storage
The BL70S accommodates two HDD / SSD shuttles. These can be used for fast data transfer of audio and video data as either RAID 0 or more data security within a content server as RAID 1.
A PCI Express® Mini Card slot and two SIM card slots provide reliable wireless communication via WLAN, GSM, UMTS and LTE, GPS or GLONASS.
The box PC BL70S has 5Gb Ethernet interfaces. One interface serves as a Gigabit Ethernet uplink and four function like a 4-port Ethernet switch with Power-over-Ethernet functionality. In addition, the BL70S supports one DisplayPort® with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, two USB 2.0 and variable slots for legacy serial I/O (for example, RS232, IBIS or CAN bus).
In addition to the turbo performance of an Intel® Core i7 CPU with 1.7 GHz this rugged box PC from MEN offers 4GB of DDR3 SDRAM and a microSD™ card and mSATA slot. The integrated S2 wide-range power supply with 24VDC and 36VDC nominal input voltage (10V to 50.4V) and a power consumption of 30W is developed in compliance with EN 50155 and ISO 7637-2 (E-mark for automotive).
The robust BL70S is coated against humidity and dust and is qualified for the extended temperature range of -40 to +70°C (+85°C for ten minutes). This product works without any high-maintenance fans due to its conduction-cooled aluminum housing.
The flexible box computer concept from MEN ensures that the interfaces can be configured quite easily and inexpensively, no matter which processor board is used. Also, the BL70S allows a flexible choice of processor cores of the Intel® i7 family. The customer can choose between four, two or one core to satisfy his requirements.
