Absopulse Electronics has recently released the CSI 50-24/24-FT, an industrial quality low-voltage DC-AC sine wave inverter specifically designed for powering CCTV systems.

The inverter uses field-proven, microprocessor-controlled high-frequency PWM technology to convert the DC input to a 24Vac pure sine wave output. Regulation is better than 2% from no load to full load across all line and load conditions. Efficiency at full load is higher than 80%. New topology simplifies the circuitry, resulting in high MTBF at a lower cost in comparison with similar 115Vac output units.

The input and output are filtered for low noise. The input meets the requirements for EN 55022 Class B for conducted noise and radiated emissions. This ensures that the unit can be used in EMI sensitive environments, including residential areas, without any additional filtering.

The CSI 50-24/24-FT units are cooled mainly by natural convection. The heat generating components are also conduction cooled to the base plate. The units operate at full specification over a 0˚C to +50˚C temperature range. Ranges of -20˚C or lower and up to + 70˚C are also available.

The inverter is housed in a robust aluminum chassis. Full ruggedizing and conformal coating are available for use in environments that demand protection from high levels of shock, vibration and moisture.
