Inteletrack specialises in information, telecommunication and tracking of rolling stock, including end-of-train telemetry (EOTT) and real-time train information system (RTIS) with a warning beacon provides an alert for other trains and workers

Next-generation EOTT (NG-EOTT) enables the monitoring of freight train braking systems, train integrity and tracking.

Railcar tracking can be supplied with satellite transponders  in dark terror with real-time worldwide coverage.

We build wireless dragging equipment detectors (DED) for detecting derailment of wheels and other dragging equipment, as well as satellite signaling for monitoring and authorizing trains using a track warrant software system.

End-of-train telemetry (EOTT) devices

Our EOTT devices are designed to measure and monitor the air-brake pressure or vacuum at the end of the train, then transmit the information to the driver through a radio link. The latest version of the telemeter has been designed according to AAR S-9152 specifications.

A complete train telemeter system comprises a unit mounted or stowed in the cabin where the crew operates, as well as a rear unit that is mounted with a clamp on the last carriage of a train. Our telemeter system features a simple, rugged and reliable design, with maintenance carried out by changing of the modules.

EOTT : Compact GPS3 rear unit train monitoring device

The unit is mounted at the rear-end of the train and measures the air-brake pressure or vacuum in the range of 700 down to -90 Kpa.

The units also include a GPS and GSM unit to report it position, pressure and other values to a server. A valve to rear brake application is incorporated, as well as a rear end flasher, VSWR meter for the antenna, data logging on board and more with an over 50-hour battery life.

The unit can operate on a wide range of frequencies, including VHF and UHF. The box measures only 260mm x 160mm x 100mm and weighs under 10kg.

Options included an air-generator to charge the battery continuously, to limit or even eliminate the charging stops of the units on long trips at depots. A wireless derailment detector (DED) receiver can also be fitted if needed.

EOTT: In-cab display unit

The unit in the cab unit displays the rear end pressure or vacuum, battery status of both the cab and rear unit, the status of the rear end flasher, the train length and displacement (slack) and train integrity.

The rear end emergency brake can be activated from this unit, as well as a point clear and train complete status requested.

All alarms and special statuses are logged on board and can be downloaded in case of any accident or incident.

The unit is only 195mm x 64mm x 162mm without the connectors and can also be mounted in a portable housing with batteries, when fixed installation is not ideal.

The unit can also be mounted securely inside an equipment rack behind the driver and all the functionality and feel of the cab unit brought to the driver by means of a smaller remote head unit mounted at the diver’s console.

EOTT: Remote head for cab unit

The Inteletrack remote head is a visual and functional extension of the AAR compatible Inteletrack cab unit. Its application is aimed at scenarios where the cab unit is mounted away from the loco driver’s visual angle, such as a closed mounting rack.

In this case, the remote head will provide the MMI (Man Machine Interface) interface to the cab unit and will have the same display size (195mm x 67mm), feel, functionality and information as the cab unit.

It connects directly to the cab unit via Ethernet cable or through a network hub and is compatible with TFR’s DGI (Differential Graphic Information) protocol.

Dragging equipment detectors (DEDs)

The Inteletrack DED® (dragging equipment detector) features a mechanical device with automatic resettable detector plates mounted on the tracks. As the dragging equipment or derailed wheels pass over the detector plate, it is activated and begins transmitting a radio signal with the emergency code, which includes the detector plate number and battery status or open a contact to connect the trigger into the existing signalling by hard-wiring.

Various models are available, including linked dual sided or separate side triggered configurations.

The signal may be wired into signalling system on the normal close contact or send by radio signal to the Inteletrack EOTT rear end device.

All units are auto resetting, robust, rustproof and quick to install on the rail by removing some rock beneath the rail and clamp the DED to railway line. There is no power required.

Satellite wagon and locomotive tracking

Satellite asset tracking is designed to track your wagons or locomotives in areas with no or unreliable GSM signal.

Reporting time intervals can be as low as 15 minutes. Different time intervals can be setup if an asset is stationary such as every 24 hours or typically when it is moving every hour.
