Kadfire provides innovative digital passenger information systems, as well as graphic design, digital printing, web development, and transport data services.
The company develops timetables, signage, digital media, marketing and wayfinding solutions.
Digital print, distribution and management
Kadfire’s print department uses an array of up-to-date digital print technologies to achieve outstanding results from all of their orders.
It uses polypropylene media and wax inks to produce large-format posters and manufactures solvent vinyl products for temporary and medium-term station signage.
The company’s weekly poster distributions cover some of the largest rail networks in the UK.
As well as offering in-house digital printing services, Kadfire has formed long-standing relationships with a number of trusted external print suppliers, enabling cost-effectiveness in its outsourced products.
The company comprehensively manages print jobs, from design through to production and distribution, prioritising quality, speed and customer satisfaction.
Rail data software and timetable services
Kadfire’s team of transport data executives includes experienced ex-rail industry professionals, who provide consultation, timetable manipulation and proofing services.
Using its own rail data software, the company can produce semi-automated timetables with a click of a button.
Interactive information, timetable and automated train loading software
Kadfire’s in-house and contracted developers offer automated solutions for rail operators and passengers.
These include its timetable editing software and comparison tools, interactive information systems such as Railpoint, and various customer-facing apps.
The company has also developed automated train loading software and ‘station working book’ generators for applications in print and on mobile devices.
Interactive passenger information kiosks
Since 2013, Kadfire been developing its Railpoint software and hardware for in-station interactive passenger information kiosks.
Housed in a durable outer shell, Railpoint’s user-friendly interface provides vital travel information, including dynamic arrival / departure times and journey planning, wayfinding and other static content in a large, accessible touchscreen format.
As of August 2016, Railpoint terminals were averaging 100,000 unique user sessions per month. The solutions have now been installed in more than 40 UK mainline train stations, stretching from Southampton to Carlisle.
Kadfire has developed a strong reputation within the rail industry for delivering robust, intuitive and accurate products, backed up by a friendly, bespoke training programme and attentive aftercare.
