Apidor manufactures high-quality reinforced cutting wheels / discs and depressed centre wheels for cutting track.
For the railway industry, the company manufactures the RAIL CUT brand of rail cutting wheels.
Wheels for portable rail cutting saws
Reinforced cut-off wheels are used for both metallic and non-metallic applications, including bar, tubing, structural and street metal cutting, as well as parting off applications.
The wheels are suitable for portable diesel / petrol-operated machines, such as rail cutting saws and grinders, for rail maintenance work at remote sites. They are required for operations where the work is not securely clamped.
Reinforced cutting and parting off wheels
Apidor produces high-quality, fully reinforced abrasive discs that have been tested according to EN 12413 safety standards (European Safety Standards) and marketed under the RAIL CUT brand.
RAIL CUT cutting off wheels are heavy-duty components and come with high-tensile fibreglass reinforcements.
They are designed to run at peripheral speeds of either 80m/s or 100m/s to give straight, sharp cuts without burrs or burn marks.
Apidor’s cut-off wheels are reinforced on one side / in the centre (RH1), on two sides (R2), on three sides (RH3) or partially reinforced on both sides (RH2).
The standard dimensions of available RAIL CUT wheels are:
- Diameter: 400mm
- Thickness: 4mm
- Bore: 22.23mm
