Chela has announced that it will be sponsoring Hinton football club.

Hinton was founded in 1957 and has a long and proud history. In 1985-86, the club applied to join the Mid Herts League.

They enjoyed many successful seasons in the league, capping these when the first Xl were crowned Premier Division Champions in the 2001-02 season. In the 2002-03 season, Hinton stepped up from junior to senior football when they were successfully elected to the Herts Senior County League.

Hinton, which sits at step 7 (or level 11 of the National League System), is therefore classified as ‘Senior level club’ with the potential to rise as high up the football pyramid as far as is possible.

Hinton Committee said in a statement: “Hinton FC are very grateful for Chela’s sponsorship and support this season. With the help of our sponsors, we have managed to lower our signing on fees for players, purchased new warm-up shirts, tracksuit tops and training footballs.

“This wouldn’t have been possible without the funds from our sponsorships and will help us achieve our goal of promotion this season. We look forward to a long-lasting relationship with Chela.”
