Service and safety will be the focus of ContiTechs display at the InnoTrans 2012 (18 – 21 September). The company will showcase its high quality and durable air spring products, under the motto "best in service and safety", as well as its extensive range of services, ensuring that replacement parts and technical support are available anywhere in the world at short notice.
Air springs for Japanese trains are new additions to the production programme, rounding off the range especially for the aftermarket needs. ContiTech air actuators that were specially developed for rail vehicles and are used in pantographs will also be displayed. Water hoses that can withstand the tough day-to-day demands of the railway system operations will round off the presentation.
Original equipment quality and service mentality
ContiTech will specifically highlight safety aspects at the Berlin trade fair to draw attention to pirate air springs that have been available on the market for a time and only visually match the original parts.
"Air springs are not all the same, even if they look alike. Their technical properties do not often meet the requirements and can result in expensive breakdowns," says Friedrich Hoppmann, head of ContiTechs Railway Engineering segment.
