ELPA Railway Friction Management introduce the most environmentally friendly and highly innovative BREMEX ANNSYS anti-noise system. The system has both economical and ecological benefits, helping to make the future more sustainable.
The unique system is designed to be used with rail brake retarders at hump shunting stations, where noise levels and high frequency squealing can reach over 130dB. Noise levels this high are a threat to the health of the people living near such yards and to the workers at the railway field.
In 2017, the BREMEX ANNSYS system began operation in the Prague marshalling hump yard. After seven years of regular operation in the Prague marshalling hump yard, squealing from the braking of wagons has been eliminated, ensuring safe braking during all times of operation.
