The Fraunhofer Institute for Physical Measurement Techniques IPM develops optical measuring systems for monitoring the condition of rail and road infrastructure. You are cordially invited to see the systems developed by Fraunhofer IPM at InnoTrans 2012 in Berlin (September 18th – 21th, hall 4.1, booth 225).
At InnoTrans 2012 Fraunhofer IPM presents the sector profile scanner (SPS) for the geometric monitoring of rolling stock. The scanner covers a range of 70 deg with an exceptional speed of 800 profiles each second (standard rate). Furthermore, Fraunhofer IPM shows the Clearance Profile Scanner (CPS), which is capable of measuring up to 200 profiles each second. The CPS is a multi-purpose system, which measures not only the clearance profile, but with upgrading software modules also height and stagger of the contact wires, distance to the neighboring track and ballast profile.
Come and get the up-to-date account of research and development in traffic and transport technology made by Fraunhofer IPM.
