Hi-rail excavators and tool carriers

K and G Machinery provides Volvo L120 tool carriers, which feature crane jibs, pallet forks, and height limiters for electrified track works.

Convertible for broad, standard and narrow gauges, the company’s hi-rail excavators are also fitted with height limiters and tilt-rotator heads.

They also feature a range of attachments, including buckets, rail threaders, sleeper inserters, and ballast adjustment equipment.

Flashbutt welders for rail tracks

K and G Machinery now sells and services German-manufactured flashbutt welders, including the KPCK-400 container welder, and the MPCK-400 Hi-rail flashbutt welder.

The KPCK-400 container uses pulsating or continuous burning off, followed by flash trimming, to provide in-field flash welding for railway construction, repair and renovation.

The MPCK-400 is a mobile rail-welding machine for 1,435mm track gauges, featuring 400mm diameter rail wheels, and a maximum speed of 40km/h.
