MBB PALFINGER is part of the PALFINGER group. Buses, trams and trains are equipped and retrofitted worldwide with MBB ramps and lifts for wheelchair users in the regional and main line services.

MBB PALFINGER offers suitable solutions combined with high safety equipment for people with reduced mobility. The TRAINLIFT, MEDILIFT and MEDIRRAMPE help to remove barriers.

Whereas in the past wheelchair users had to take the slightly unpopular platform-based equipment to enter the train, nowadays they can access via the TRAINLIFT based in the vehicle, which is more comfortable and less time consuming. Of course, all MBB TRAINLIFT models meet the requirements of European norm TSI PRM for example in respect to the size of the platform, capacity and safety.

Currently, we produce the so called swivel lifts like the TRAINLIFT TR 800 for the SIEMENS ICx EMUs being the next generation high speed train for the German national railway company, Deutsche Bahn. Another product is the TRB 1000 with a stroke of one metre for the V300 Zefiro of Bombardier / AnsaldoBreda in Italy.

While Skoda needs a further development of the TRB 600 for their double-deck trains, the Stadler / Newag consortium requires the TRAINLIFT TR 1000 for its latest long distanance Flirt 3 EMUs of PKP intercity.

New in the portfolio is the vertical MBB TRAINLIFT TRV 1000 which was presented end of last year on the InnoTrans fair in Berlin. It is the right solution particularly for the installation in regional trains.

When it comes to retrofitting existing coaches with access systems MBB offers with 25 years of experiences in developing a wide range of services and the development of the suitable TRAINLIFT model for each vehicle type.
