Eland Cables is once again strengthening its railway telecoms portfolio, with a further 32 Network Rail approvals. In securing product acceptance on a full range of ZHLS telecom cables, Eland has consolidated its position as a leading UK rail cable supplier – offering more Network Rail approved telecoms cables than any of its competitors.
Awarded on 11 September 2009, the Network Rail approval (NR/PR/TEL/00015 – formerly known as RT/E/PS/00015) covers 32 variants of 0.63mm and 0.9mm ZHLS and armoured ZHLS cables. This builds on Eland’s success earlier this year when, as part of its product acceptance strategy, 32 variants of PE and armoured PE copper trackside cables were also approved.
“Quality is of the utmost importance at Eland and so we are thrilled to have Network Rail acknowledge our high standards once more,” says technical and projects manager Chris Barnes, who managed the approval process.
“We are always looking to improve our service and extending our cable range is an important part of this,” adds managing director Philip Brown. “Our extensive range of railway cables allows us to offer customers more choice than any other rail cable supplier and puts us in a strong position to support railway projects throughout the UK.”
