BMT Group, IGW’s parent company, has acquired VCST, a Belgian supplier for the automotive industry. BMT Group is an industrial family-owned holding which participates in companies throughout the world that are active in high-precision machining of gears and transmissions on the one hand, and the manufacturing of moulds for hollow glassware and the design and setup of flat-glass lines and glass furnaces on the other.

VCST is a world-class automotive supplier of precision-machined powertrain and brake components for Automotive OEM’s and Tier 1 suppliers. The company realised a turnover of €169m in 2015 and employs 1,250 full time employees. VCST has production facilities in Belgium, China, Germany, Mexico and Romania, with its headquarters located in Belgium. The company has a diversified blue-chip costumer portfolio, including Audi, Caterpillar, Continental, Cummins, DAF, General Motors, Punch Powertrain and Volkswagen, among others.

BMT Group will bring VCST into one division with IGW. By joining forces both companies will be able to strengthen their position, not only in Europe but also worldwide.
