We have supplied products to many of the UK’s rail infrastructure projects over the last 29 years; recent projects include the West Coast Route Modernisation, the East Coast Main Line’s electrification and the Channel Tunnel rail link.

Rail battery maintenance
We provide maintenance for all AC and DC batteries we have supplied, and are happy to provide support for our customers on other manufacturers’ equipment. Maintenance can be provided to suit the customer, whether on a regular basis using day work sheets, on call-out for emergencies, or on fixed costs for an agreed schedule.
Rail battery repair plant
When it is not practical to complete the maintenance process on site, products may be returned to our plant at Clevedon, near Bristol, where our team will repair or replace the faulty items as appropriate and on a timescale to meet customer needs.
Rail battery hire
We offer the hire of temporary rail batteries and equipment to maintain your power supplies. Items for hire include:
- Batteries
- Battery chargers
- Switch trippers
- UPS
In addition we can provide hire of an electronic load bank which will include the services of a site engineer to test your batteries and provide appropriate reports.
Battery replacement
While we supply both AC and DC standby systems that use all the major battery types, we can also supply batteries as stand-alone items. We will be happy to quote for your battery requirements whatever the type and rating and, in addition, we can provide these as supply only or can deal with all the issues associated with installation, commissioning and removal of any old units from your site.
Battery disposal
With our secure storage facility for batteries, as a registered carrier and transfer station, we meet all the latest health and safety legislation and current environmental requirements. We can collect your service-expired batteries for storage prior to moving them on to appropriate recycling facilities. As well as recycling, we can provide a complete maintenance and replacement service for batteries.
