SALTEK has upgraded its VLD class 2.2 products (BVL series) to get a better mid-time repeatable and withstand current parameters. This improvement is based on frequent customer requirements to have a heavy duty recoverable VLD-O for places with no auxiliary power (power supplied through independent devices) and with the occurrence of high amplitude and long period leakage currents when a VLD-O is activated. Using special cooling elements made from SiAl alloy and robust terminals, our BVLs have reached great values of repeatable energy loads up to 1.600 Amps at 30 seconds. Such a mid-time load meets most requirements to protect metro or train stations, workshops, and more, even if the railway infrastructure is not in good condition.
