The robust rBOX104 features a wide temperature operation, a super compact form-factor, a complete expandability, and AXView monitoring software for intelligent computing and communication solutions in critical environments.
Axiomtek today introduced robust rBOX104 DIN-rail fanless embedded system with four PoE ports for intelligent transportation systems, power plant automation, facility monitoring systems, IP video surveillance, APs, and intercoms.
Built for rugged work environments, the rBOX104 supports extra low power Intel Atom processors Z510PT (1.1 GHz) or Z520PT (1.33 GHz) with extended temperature range of -40°C to 70°C for use in extremely hot or cold environments.
Multiple built-in serial ports, high-speed LANs and USB 2.0 ports enable fast and efficient data computation, communication and acquisition. The rBOX104 features SNMP V1/V2c support for secured network management.
To streamline implementation of management applications, Axiomtek has launch "AXView" monitoring software package for customers to build their own management systems easily and quickly.
"Axiomtek’s rBOX104 fanless embedded system offers wide range operating temperature from -40°C to +70°C, and utilizes the industrial-temperature grade Intel Atom processor Z510PT or Z520PT for solutions used in unconstrained thermal environments.
"This durable unit supports Power-over-Ethernet on ports 1 to 4 which can power IEEE802.3af compliant powered devices and transmit data simultaneously, saving on wiring costs. It especially suits for outdoor applications such as PoE IP camera, PoE Access Point and intercoms. Additionally, the rBOX104 features a redundant Ethernet LAN connection for greater availability and reliability.
"Besides, the IP30-rated fanless embedded system meets Safety Agency requirements and has passed heavy industrial EMI/EMS testing. The intelligent ideal comes with AXView software package for quick and easy startup," said Eric Chiang, product manager of Applied Computing & Network Device Business Unit at Axiomtek.
To fulfill different application needs, the rBOX104 comes with complete expandability, including two COM ports, one 10/100/1000Mbps Ethernet with magnetic isolation protection, two USB 2.0 ports, four PoE (IEEE802.3af) ports, one VGA output, and one CompactFlash socket.
In addition, the rBOX104 comes equipped with redundant power input via a 48VDC terminal block. Pre-installed with Linux, Windows CE 6.0 or Windows XP Embedded, the rBOX104 provides programmers with a friendly environment for developing application software at a lower cost.
Beside, the ready-to-run rBOX104 computing system equipped with AXView monitoring software is a total solution. Based on SNMP protocols, AXView makes it easy for system administrators to manage and monitor remote computers. AXView also contains a variety of easy-to-use management utilities, agent services and libraries.
The rBOX104 with AXView package will be available around the end of February 2011.
