If you are planning to attend Train Communications Systems 2017, book now or risk losing out say the organisers BWCS. "It really is in danger of being standing room only this year" said BWCS MD Graham Wilde "The number of train operators attending has risen, as interest in launching new on-board Wi-Fi services and improving existing ones has grown."
"This is a great chance to meet the great and the good of this, admittedly, highly-niche sector" claims Wilde. As ever, BWCS has focused on getting train operators, from all over the world to share their real-life stories of putting Wi-Fi onto their trains, fighting to keep the customers happy and struggling to add new services and increase bandwidth.
Highlights for 2017 include:
Keith Monserrat from Network Rail Telecom will address the Conference on the Future for Wireless Connectivity Services to Trains – examining the lessons learned from the current series of trials that NR is undertaking and what the future is likely to hold.
Jim Baker will report on the situation state-side, including how Amtrak and others have fared on installing trackside networks and developing other solutions.
Other speakers include the main European and UK train operators including Abellio, Arriva, Deutsche Bahn, National Express, CCJPA, Russian Railways, as well as operators from Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, the US and across the UK, who will all be sharing their experiences and challenges at the two-day conference.
If you would like to attend, please don’t delay. You can reserve a place online at the Traincomms website. BWCS very much hope to see you there in June.
