Leading multi-disciplinary engineering consultancy Faber Maunsell today changed its name to AECOM Ltd (known as AECOM), completing its full integration into the global AECOM group.

For more than 80 years the names Oscar Faber and Maunsell have been synonymous with leading engineering design and innovation, and since joining forces with AECOM in 2002 the company has continued to deliver world-class projects and services. With this name change and concurrent organisational restructuring we will be even better placed to work with clients and meet the challenges of the rapidly changing global marketplace.

AECOM is a leader in the delivery of building engineering, transportation, water, environment, programme management, energy and planning and design services. As a result of this global integration we will benefit from the skills and experience of more than 43,000 people in more than 100 countries across the globe.

Ken Dalton will remain in his position under the new title of chief executive for AECOM Europe. He said: “We are immensely proud of all we have achieved as Faber Maunsell and look forward to building on these strengths as AECOM. We will be able to offer clients even greater access to a huge range of integrated resources and world-class expertise while still retaining the high levels of care and quality for which we have always been known.

“AECOM’s recent appointment, as part of the Transcend consortium with CH2M HILL and The Nichols Group, to the programme partner role on Crossrail, clearly demonstrates our world-class capabilities. Along with other projects such as the construction of the new Halley VI Research Station in Antarctica and the £10bn expansion of New York’s Second Avenue subway, we are at the heart of delivering some of the world’s greatest modern engineering developments.”

AECOM’s other operations in Europe, EDAW, ENSR, ERA, Earth Tech and Savant, are also part of the global integration initiative and will become known as AECOM.

AECOM (NYSE: ACM) is a global provider of professional technical and management support services to a broad range of markets, including transportation, facilities, environmental and energy. With 43,000 employees around the world AECOM is a leader in all the key markets that it serves.
