The success and expansion continues for Travel Design, which received several nominations in 2011. From June 1 2012, TD Rail & Industry AB was formed to provide complete solutions for the railway industry.

The number of employees has doubled since 2011, a new office has been launched in Stockholm and, in 2012, the company expanded with its new additional business area.

"Much has happened since Travel Design started the business 24 years ago. What once began with expertise in procurement support and design of railway vehicles has grown into a wide range of skills and experience within the moving vehicle and now the infrastructure (sectors).

"With the new company we want to create greater clarity in our offerings," said Peter Meilgaard, founder of Travel Design and president of the new company, TD Rail & Industry AB.

"By combining the feel of the design and functionality from Travel Design AB, expertise in component and material supplies by Rail Parts AB with the commitment and expertise of our new team within TD Rail Infrastructure, we can now act as a full partner in the project for railway rolling stock and infrastructure."

The new portfolio of expertise and services are now gathered under TD Rail & Industry AB. The company also has expertise in management and technical documentation. With this combination of skills and experience, TD Rail & Industry offers higher efficiency and less risk in rail projects.

The company has a solid reference base and profound understanding of both infrastructure and vehicle projects, and can now offer the knowledge from large, complex projects to other industrial sectors.

Over the next two years, the projected headcount will double again, partly because of the demand for rail is growing steadily and also because it has now expanded with services to other industries.
