Analogue radio networks with simulcast technology
TranzCom delivers large analogue radio networks using simulcast technology to allow coverage over a very large area, while using a very small amount of frequencies. These networks are mainly, but not exclusively, used for voice and data applications.
We also offer specific applications that use networks such as GPS localisation, automatic vehicle localisation, data transmission, trunking and dispatching applications.
Tetra radio terminals
TranzCom is a market leader in terms of Tetra terminals in Belgium.
We have deep knowledge of Tetra and Tetrapol infrastructure and, as a distributor of AIRBUS terminals (formerly known as Nokia PMR) and an official supplier of Astrid customers (through the open contract), TranzCom has installed more than 25,000 radio terminals with federal and local security forces, fire brigades, public health services and other customers throughout Belgium.
Radio networks for the railway industry
TranzCom offers a variety of services, including data applications for Tetra customers (MDT, AVL and GPS), paging and alarm systems for fire brigades and public safety aerial dispatching systems (messenger) and indoor/ confined area radio coverage.
TranzCom has considerable expertise in the deployment of radio networks. Most of these references are analogue simulcast systems with combined voice and data applications, a technology in which TranzCom, with the analogue products of AIRBUS/PMR, possesses a very long and successful experience.
Tetra cab radio units
TranzCom is specialized in customized telecommunication onboard equipment, based on TETRA technology, designed for voice and data communication and to be installed in the driver cabins of buses, metros, trams and trains. It enables high-quality and reliable voice communications between drivers and control centers and controllers in the field and management of public address. It enables also the reception and transmission of various data such as alarms from/to management servers and external systems.
TranzCom delivered tetra Cab Radio units to RATP in Paris and RET in Rotterdam.
Onboard PCs
TranzCom designs, develops and produces On-Board Computers (OBC) for metro, trams and busses consisting a power supply unit, an industrial PC and a router. This OBC allows communications using UMTS (3G) and WiFi (2,4 et 5 GHz). The different elements are integrated in a 19in’ rack developed by Tranzcom. The complete OBC is EN50155 and e-mark certified.
TranzCom supplied more than 1,200 OBC units to the STIB in Brussels.
Drivers consoles for trains
TranzCom develops onboard 10in touch panel PCs for trains connecting the security and monitoring systems of the train with the conductor.
The interface of the equipment allows Ethernet, CAN, FIP and serial communication. It allows also the installation of a GPRS/GPS. More than 500 units will be installed on the trains of SNCB. The complete 10in touch panel PC’s is EN 50155 certified.
Tablet and payment terminals for controllers
TranzCom developed tablet and payment terminals for controllers on trains, having following functions: Ticketing control & Payment; Security procedures (GSMR); Information to Staff and clients; Reporting.
TranzCom delivered 3400 tablet and payment terminals to SNCB.
LCD passenger information systems
Tr distributes LCD products from AEG MIS, the world leader in liquid crystal display systems with over 30 years of experience in LCD development and production.
The product range covers LCD information boards for indoor and outdoor applications. Different fonts and character heights are also available, allowing us to satisfy the specific needs of each customer.
Railway passenger information displays
TranzCom provides displays for railway station passenger information, public transport (stationary and mobile) information, park and traffic guidance systems, and trade and business information displays.
Our products are in use in 20 railway stations in Belgium, in the Brussels underground and in 20 stops along the coast tram line in Flanders.
