With in-house manufacturing facilities for steel forging, steel forming, steel rolling, rubber moulding, plastic moulding, fabrication, CNC machining and others, Royal can provide the entire gamut of railroad and rolling stock products anywhere in the world.
Steel sleepers with fastenings
We possess the necessary infrastructure to roll and form all types of steel sleepers, including UIC, EN, BS and other international profiles, for all types of rail gauges, including broad gauge, standard gauge, metre gauge and narrow gauge, both in hot and cold conditions.
For low-axle loads, sleepers with direct fastenings like clips and bolts can be supplied and for higher axle loads sleepers with welded baseplates or hook-in shoulders with elastic fastenings can be custom manufactured and supplied.
Base plates with fastenings
We can manufacture all types of base plates at our own rolling, forging, forming and casting facilities and can provide clients with all types of base plates with 1:20 and 1:40 inclination, including ribbed base plates, flat standard base plates, sole plates, metallic pads, bearing plates, flat inclined base plates and special types of profiles according to UIC 60, UIC 54, U33, RN 45, BS 90, and BS 90A rail profiles along with suitable fastenings.
Turnouts
Royal has collaborated with a Spanish company, who is a worldwide leader in the switches and crossings industry, for the Indian and international turnout market. Jointly, we can provide end-to-end turnout solutions right from design and development up to manufacturing and supply, all completely inhouse. We also carry the distinct advantage of manufacturing and fully fabricating all turnout components inhouse, giving us tremendous control over our quality and delivery.
Our experience includes thick web, derailing and asymmetrical switches, explosive hardened swing nose and weldable crossings, as well as canted and head-hardened turnouts for high-speed lines, metros, heavy haul freight lines as well as passenger main lines in various countries worldwide.
Fish plates and glued insulated joints
We can supply entire fish plate sets including four-hole and six-hole types as we have our own rolling mill for rolling joint bars according to various rail profiles such as UIC 60, UIC 54, 132RE, 115RE and U33.
We can also manufacture glued insulated joint kits in bulk for UIC 60, 54E1, IRS 52 rail profiles with all associated components custom provided as per our clients’ requirements and in accordance with international standards.
Fastenings – rigid, elastic and fixed
We can manufacture all types of fastenings, including rigid, fixed and elastic types, for fixing rails either directly or with a seating plate to wooden, steel or concrete ties as per our clients’ specific requirements. We can custom manufacture any type of fastening including the following standard types:
- Rigid fastenings: dog spikes and single- and double-shank spikes
- Elastic fastenings: E-clips, Skl clamps, Nabla clips, U-clips, Mk-III, Mk-V and Denik-types
- Fixed fastenings: A-, B-, K-type clips and others
All our fastenings are manufactured in conformance to international norms such as UIC, DIN, JIS, BS, AREMA, AS, EN, etc.
We also have in-house manufacturing facilities for producing entire fastening sets including clips, plastic insulators, rail pads, screws, shoulders, liners, ferrules, bolts, nuts and washers.
Rolling stock components
Our rolling stock division offers solutions for passenger vehicles and locomotives including manufacturing of fabricated bogie frames and high precision machined components for locomotives as per customer’s design and specification.
We also manufacture the air springs under license from TIAVS up to 180 kN load for secondary suspension application.
We are also distributing rubber metal bonded components for various applications including railways, industrial and marine.
Testing and quality certification
Royal is ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004, and OHSAS 18001:2007 approved and takes steps to produce quality goods while minimally impacting the environment while providing a safe working environment for all of its employees. We are also additionally undertaking EN 15085 and IRIS certification for our rolling stock division.
We have all the necessary in-house testing equipment required for products manufactured as per norms of UIC, AREMA, EN, BS, IRS, DIN and other leading international standards.
