Mechan will be adding a continental feel to Railtex 2019, showcasing its expertise, in addition to some of the European innovations it represents.
Joining the Sheffield-based firm at Birmingham’s NEC in May will be colleagues from overseas manufacturers, whose products complement the in-house equipment it supplies.
Taking centre stage on Mechan’s Railtex stand (N10) from 14-16 May will be its full size, fully operational demonstration jack, which enables visitors to see for themselves the build quality and technical capability that goes into creating its flagship lifting product.
French sister company, SEG (Sogema Engineering), will be on hand, accompanied by a working model of its renowned wheel press. A CALIPRI laser measuring device by Austrian manufacturers, NextSense, will also be on the stand, to highlight the ease with which it scans wheelsets and tracks. In addition, the inventors of the ROTRAC electric road / rail shunters, Zwiehoff, will be available to speak to delegates.
Lindsey Mills, Mechan’s sales manager, is coordinating the firm’s Railtex presence. She said: “We are thrilled some of our European partners are joining us this year. Their in-depth product knowledge will enhance the expertise my team brings and add value for clients old and new. It is always a pleasure to catch up with delegates at this well attended show and we are looking forward to outlining the progress we have made recently.”
It has been an exciting couple of years for Mechan since the last Railtex exhibition. After becoming part of turnkey workshop provider, CIM, in 2017, it acquired a new management structure and ultimate parent company, Belgium’s CMI. The milestones continue this year, as it celebrates 50 years in business and expands its product range, courtesy of in-house developments and its sister companies.
Mechan will have information available about its entire range of lifting and handling products at Railtex. To arrange an appointment with the show team, or for further product details, fill out the enquiry form on this page.
